The Gushi Journal is written by the team behind Gushi, an app that teaches Chinese characters as stories and follows the HSK 3.0 syllabus, all nine levels.
Every number about the exam comes from the official HSK 3.0 syllabus, published in November 2025 by Chinese Testing International. You can check each one on our HSK 3.0 hub.
When we compare apps, we build one of them. We say so on the page, and we write every entry the same way: what the app does well, then where it stops. Other apps are described from their own store pages and our own use.
We update an article when something changes, and the date at the top says when. Found a mistake? Write to hello@gushichinese.com.
